PROFILE: I have been coaching Weightlifting for 7 years progressively expanding my weightlifting club into Yorkshire Strength, a strength facility that houses Weightlifting, powerlifting and strongman all under one roof. I have been an S+C coach for 10 years. Working in professional sport with teams from Leeds United FC to Castlesford Tigers RL.
ROLE: Owner/Head Coach
HIGHLIGHTS: LvL3 PT, Lvl 2 BWL, UKCSA accredited, qualified sports therapist.

PROFILE: I have been Olympic weightlifting for 6 years and have competed in senior and masters competition. I have coached at Yorkshire Strength since it’s inception. By day I educate young people in the area in engineering.

PROFILE: I retired from the Fire service in 2020 part of that role was watch PT instructor.
My background is within functional fitness / Crossfit.
I ranked 97th in the world 2020 - 55 Yr category and also achieved a 1st Place in the Northern BWL open.

ROLE: Conditioning / weight lifting coach.

PROFILE: In my younger years I played water polo at international level as well as a bit of club and regional youth level coaching. I was introduced to weightlifting when I started CrossFit in 2016 and focused on weightlifting only in 2018. Since then I’ve proudly represented Yorkshire Strength in competition and won English, British and European Masters medals in the Women’s 35 age category.

PROFILE:

I have been in the fitness industry for 9 years working as an instructor and personal trainer, my background training was a mixture mainly including bodybuilding and strength and conditioning and I delved into the world of weightlifting in September 2019 and under this sport I compete as a 55kg weightlifter.

I have been in the Military for 15 years, working in the Royal Signals and as a Physical Training Instructor. 

Currently on course to transfer to the Royal Army Physical Training Corps (RAPTC)

My Main focus is Weightlifting and Powerlifting where I have coached to British Levels.

PROFILE:   From the age of 15, I have competed within Olympic Weightlifting alongside coaching Olympic weightlifting, Strength and Conditioning and Crossfit to a range of years and abilities. I completed my undergraduate degree in BSc Sport and Exercise Science, and I am now studying MSc Sport and Exercise Nutrition full time at Leeds Beckett University.
